What is the scooter's identification plate?
It is the identification label the DGT requires: a sticker with the registration number the DGT assigns to your scooter when it is registered, in the format M 0000 AAA (which is why many people call it a number plate). It is not the manufacturer's black aluminium plate: certified scooters already come with that one, showing the serial number and the certificate number. To be ridden on the road, a scooter must be registered with the DGT, carry the identification label and have third-party liability insurance (Law 5/2025).
